a little about…

Nordic

Simplistic. Minimal. Functional.

Nordic design was born in Scandinavian countries, and it incorporates the roots of this heritage into its clever airy interiors. This design style is all about simplicity and extreme functionality. White walls, light floors, black accents and unique little design elements deliver a charming aesthetic when done right.

Want a Nordic Look in Your Short Term Rental??

Easy Action Items:

  • Keep your color palette simple. Stick with whites, black and neutrals, with just one or two accent colors used throughout your space.
  • Spend time selecting art. Because the decor and colors are minimal, art becomes forefront in Nordic design. Choose wisely and make art the interesting focal points in the home.
  • Make light fixtures pop. Like the art, cool light fixtures stand out in a minimal space. Choose something streamlined and nordic, or vintage and funky to create unexpected drama in this otherwise calm space.
  • Create Hygge. Simple and serene doesn’t mean stark and cold. Be sure to include plenty of cozy throws and soft pillows to ensure your guests have a cozy environment to curl up in.
