Depending on the type of short-term rental you have and where it's located, you may be considering decorating for the Holidays. Or maybe you always have! Kudos to you if that's the case. There is definitely effort involved in putting up seasonal decor and since this is a business you're running it's important to think about what that effort is costing you and if it's worth it.

Is your Airbnb likely to attract families over the Christmas period? Are you located in a popular tourist spot? Or are you more likely to cater for someone travelling on business who is looking for a well-serviced and comfortable stop gap. You need to think really critically about these questions when deciding whether decorating for Christmas is worth the investment, both financially and time-wise.

Ok. So you've thought long and hard about the questions above and decided that your lovely guests are really going to appreciate the extra effort you've gone to to decorate your rental for the holidays. Then this post is for you...

I have pulled together some inspiration, plus easy shopping boards, with decor that won't cost a fortune and is small enough to store in your supplies closet. Well, most of it anyway. I tried not to get carried away, but I am a designer after all and I LOVE sparkly Christmas decor.

I live in a part of the world that gets very dark, very early in the day this time of year. Let me tell you, those twinkly fairy lights are what get us through this season where you look at the clock at 8pm and it's been dark so long you'd swear it was midnight.
